Firmware.....
What exactly is firmware and how do you get it. Is it the updates that showup on the PS3 menu?

yes basically..you can update via the Internet & i dare say via software like the PSP, where your forced to update before the game will run..thats annoying..!!

Firmware is like the operating system for the PS3 & many modern day electrical goods, MP3 players etc...its just a program stored on the device that tells it how to work
