It's annoying really, coming from the UK we're nearly always last to get new technology and PS3 is a case in point.
I know there's a lot of bad publicity surrounding the PS3 but I just can't wait to get one. It's been a very long wait since hearing that our european launch was delayed and now it's almost over it just seems to be taking forever. I preordered mine on 25th January on hearing the offical launch date from Sony. Not in a long time have I anticipated something so much, 23rd March can't come quickly enough for me. I've even booked a week holiday so that I can enjoy my new bundle of joy!!
Am I just sad or is this common?

Also to those that think the PS3 is expeinsive. Take some time out, sit down and really think about what you're getting for your money. Is it still all that expensive??

One more thing...to those 360 owners that are condemning the PS3 even before it's had time to really flex it's muscles.....give it a year and you'll al be eating your words.

PS3.....BRING IT ON!!!!

Well yea that'll make it sure as hell worth the wait!

To pass the time im trying to put in as much overtime as possible so i can but that sweet little 37" Samsung HDTV i just gotta have it!!

Unfortunately I won't be able to afford a HD TV but then that gives me something to look forward to knowing that in the not too distant future my already great looking PS3 games will be looking even better!!

This is luxury that 360 owners don't have since neither the core nor the premium systems have HDMI ports......360.. True Hi def?? I definitely think not!!

Just gotta say I actually have nothing against the Xox 360, I think it's a really good machine but since us PS3 faithful have had to take so much flak off them for so long it's good to be able to throw something back at them, something which i do at every opportunity

first off, im enjoying my ps3 very much, and second you need to get an hdtv! honeslty theres no point in getting a ps3 if you dont have HD and that is because the graphics will be very similar to ps2's so dude get an hdtv or you wont be experiencing anything special at all. i mean the main reason to buy a ps3 is to see amazing nex gen graphics and blu-ray and if you can't have either of those (because you dont have an hdtv) then you're wasting your money. i bought my tv before i got ps3 and now i just sit back in and enjoy. and i wouldnt call yourself a ps3 faithful if you dont even have the system yet...

PS3 blew my mind the first day I got it. The graphics on Resistance were amazing and I only had a SDTV. Then about 2 weeks later got an HD some HDMI cables and it looked better! But without HD it doesnt look horrible....

Ok Jeter here's the deal..

I understand where you're coming from with the HDTV thing but as it's already widely known, over here in the UK, compared to what the prices of the PS3 are in the US and Japan we are paying over the odds and even though I would love to have a HDTV at PS3's launch I'm not a walking gold mine and just can't afford one. I do intend to get one in the vey near future so saying that just because you don't have a HDTV you shouldn't get a HDTV is just pure silliness. I can still enjoy the games even if I'm not seeing the graphics in glorious full blown HD.

Also I don't call myself a PS3 faithful, as you point out I don't have one yet due to them not being available here, but i do call myself a Playstation faithful, having owned a PS1, now got a PS2 and PSP and soon to own a PS3 (I don't have a 360, Wii or anything else, other than a PC). Playstation faithful, not PS3 faithful......there is a difference.

PS3 faithful was just a figure of speech. By that I mean those that haven't moved over to Xbox 360

i understand that you can't get an hdtv but your really missing out and if i were you maybe by the tv first.

Lol No I've had my pre-order going for way too long now. I do intend to get one ASAP though. It's going to be my next purchase.

i feel bad for the uk guys that r getting theyre ps3s so late but then again they are lucky to get such good games on launch like motorsotrm and oblivion. i know waiting is hard but ultimatrly ull have a better gaming slection because of it

Took the words out of my mouth. It's been hard going waiting so long after its launch in the US and Japan but as you say we don't have to wait so long for decent games since the launch lineup is pretty strong. At least 25 games on launch are promised.

people in europe sign up on ebay it might be hard but do it the buy a ps3 like me you wont regret it!!!!!!
