In reply to thegeth, there's always someone out there that's willing to pay for one, even if you add something like £100 to the PS3 price on ebay that's still £100 profit for you. People will pay a LOT more than that mind you.

Yeah I got my pre-ored through on Amazon after pre-registering interest. I went for the best delivery option as well so I am pretty optimistic. For those struggling out there there are always companies giving them away free to promote there websites, if you enter in enough of them you might strike it lucky :-) Nicest (and fruitiest ) I have found so far is http://www.vimto.com which is pretty cool (and the drink tases awesome to). You never know I could end up with loads on launch day.... but then again I'll just be happy with one and a copy of Motorstorm :-)

If you managed to pre-order on either play or amazon then you should be ok. Both companies have said that they will remove the item from sale once their initial allocation stock has gone, and they're both still selling....I don't know how it works with amazon but I ordered mine with play and got confirmation exactly a week later. I assume amazon will do a similar thing.
will hopefully turn up on the day, if its ordered with amazon you can check on your current orders and will tell you estimated dispatch and delivery dates.
I ordered mine on the first day amazon had them offered, my delivery estimate is the 23rd and dispatch 21st or 22nd.
