Have the recent PS3 delays put you off the console?
Im a little disappointed im going to have to wait another 4 months or so for the console. Especially now i've just about saved up enough for the console 
But on the other hand i dont want them to rush anything, and would rather they ironed out all the bugs rather than rush and inferior product to market.
I know a few of my friends have said 'its the final straw' and are reading up on the Wii. Not me though

I’m not that disappointed. I will be if they release it and found out that there a still a lot of bugs in it. I would rather have a console that is stable than a console wouldn’t last long. As what I was saying to myself. “Just a little more patience” =)

I'm disappointed, but to be honest it doesn't make much difference to me since I doubt I'd have gotten it for a few months anyway. It's the price that I'm really disappointed about.

Atleast you guys have release dates! We're still waiting for the Wii's, 2 more days! You can expect bundles for the Europe ones, maybe a free game with it, since it will probably be cheaper to make by then and to make it up to Europe.

I am also disappointed that the release will be delayed. But it also doesn’t stop me to want the PS3. However I am a little more concern on the availability of the consoles when it hits the market in our country.

I can't help but feel disappointed, but as previously said what's the point of having a consule that won't work? The problem being that when it does launch chances are that for most people the wait will be at least another few weeks.

It is a little disappointing that the UK launch has been delayed again, but lets hope they can sort out these potential bugs.
The delays are really getting the interest of the press, and the console is sure to get some good coverage in the newspapers.

Don't know about anyone else, but I have started to think that Sony are happy with our current situation. Why? because of the extra publicity and the imminent frenzy when they eventually do arrive. Sony could probably charge twice the amount and still be laughing all the way to the bank!

Hmm - I am wondering whether it would be worth getting one of these cheap flights to the USA, buy a console and coming home. On a slightly different topic, I remember when the iPod Mini was available everywhere but Europe. People were paying up to £500 for one on Ebay!
I am wondering if a similar sort of thing will happen with the PS3.

Never thought of the trip over to the USA. Perhaps a pre christmas trip is in order Wonder whether anyone has friends over there who are asking them to buy and send over here?

It doesn't bother me. i'm still getting one no matter the cost. I just wan't all the massive and great looking games, shove one up at Contendo.
The 20GB version will now have HDMI output and may be slighty cheaper

What gets me is how most of the cons of the PS3 have to do with blu-ray; mostly the overpricing and the delays. At least if there were some advantage to owning blu-ray it might be worth it, but there is none (except Sony's advantage in getting blu-ray into homes before HD-DVD).

Yeah, the MGS series is pretty cool...I was looking forward to Resident Evil 5, but it'll have to wait until the price PS3 drops.
