Whoah there Jeter I wasn't criticising the PS3, quite the opposite in fact. I personally think the PS3 is good value for money and haven't looked forward to something quite as much as PS3 in a long time. When I said it was the underdog I'm not just referring to sales and I am fully aware it's not even out worldwide which makes a huge difference. What I meant was that ever since Sony announced it there has been massive criticism levelled both at Sony and the PS3 and this, along with repeated delays have just gone against the machine unfortunately. I also think that it's really good value for money because if you was to buy a 360 with all the extras that allow it to play HD DVD and the like it would cost somewhere in the region of what a PS3 does but it just doesn't seem to be built as well as a PS3 so for me doesn't warrant the cost. Sony took a lot of flak for repeated delays and the high price point but I would rather wait and have have a stable machine at launch than have a machine that was rushed out that breaks down and needs constant patching to use it properly as is the case with 360. It seems that because Sony have been market leaders for so long there's a lot of people that are willing Sony to fail and I find it very sad, Sony have brought a lot to the games industry and allowed us to experience games in different ways. Contrary to what a lot of people say, Nintendo aren't the first to get us to use our bodies as controllers for games but people have quickly forgotten about the Eyetoy for PS2 and, now, apparently Nintendo can do no wrong.
I also had an N64 and loved it dearly, for, as you do, Goldeneye and some other true classics and was Nintendo's last truly great gaming machine. With the success of the Wii I actually believe that Nintendo's new found success is unjustified and is just a flash in the pan.
