So you are trying to use your EVDO enabled cell phone as a modem for your PS3? Theoretically, it could be done... However, for a direct connection, you will need a driver for your phone that will support the PS3 OS, and as far as I know, no such drivers or connection manager software exist for the PS3. Now, if you are running Linux on your PS3, you should be able to get Linux connected to the Internet through your phone.
Now if you want to play online by using your phone as a modem, there may be a indirect way, but it will be tricky. What you will need is a USB phone adapter cable, a 60 GB PS3, and a WiFi enabled laptop. The basic concept is to feed the laptop Internet connection with your phone, and enable Internet Connection Sharing service on the laptop, then you must set the PS3's gateway to the laptop's IP address and place both devices on the same subnet, you have to also switch the WiFi card from Infrastructure mode to Ad-hoc mode and give the WiFi card a unique SSID. After doing this, you have to bridge the connection between the phone and the WiFi card. Finally, you should be able to connect your PS3 to the internet using your phone. This is only a theoretical method I have came up with, I have not tried it myself, but I am fairly confident that it will work.

true that would work useing it that way but my idea is to use a phone that i like a computer like a pocket pc 6700 or the moto q i have a tytn and a ppc6700, now my tytn has bluetooth 2.0 and my phone cant find the ps3 and same with ps3 and phone is there someway to unlock the ps3 to find more then just a headset & axis withe bt2.0 you can do alot of shit start your car and whatever else. i know to get this to work well need some help from www.xda-developers.com these people know how to get pocket pc's to do things they was not made to do. soo anyone know how to unlock the ps3 bluetooth to find more?
