What "Fanboy" is supposed to mean:
Someone who has an irrational love for a company and sticks to them in the face of all logic.

How "fanboy" is used on this forum:
Anyone whose opinion is different from mine.
OR
Anyone who likes anything, for any reason.

Just because a word means something doesn't mean the words meaning can't change (as seems to be the case with fanboy). The very nature of the English language is that it changes...gay once meant happy or jovial...faggot once meant a bundle of sticks.

Fanboy is also a word used to help remember where to place commas when your writing a paper...or note..or any other english you may be doing. I learned it while attending college.....LOL

So now every time I see fanboy, I think

F = for
A = and
N = nor
B = but
O = or
Y = yet

LMAO....just thought I would throw this.

alright i started a i f*ckin hate fanboys post a while ago and i stand by it. i like all the systems and i play them all too. so shut the hell up about which one is better cuz they are all different in some aspects. Meanwhile supporting ure system to a point isnt being overly fanboyisim. love ure system and talk about the pros and cons with other people in a civilized manor. for example i love the free online for ps3 even though the online is better for 360. i love the current games for the ps3 even though the wii has quite a good few too. i dont put my 2 cents in without expecting someoe elses to come back and thats why buying new consoles is so fun. bottomline dont go overboard extreme fanboy

Fanboy on this site is used proberly all ways. When people say "I hate PS3 and Wii Xbox is way better!!!!" or stuff like: ''PS3 sucks" or "All games for PS3 suck" is fanboyism. Fanboys are as the word is fans of a system........And we dont say that fanboys are those who dont agrree with us read more carefully.....

yes Crash....but when people glorify the PS3 without giving reasons, that is just as much fanboyism. All 3 consoles have their good and bad points and no-one can argue the PS3 isn't without its downsides. I don't like the look of the PS3 and it will certainly be 2 or 3 years before I get one... unless my obsessive love of JRPGs makes me give in earlier.

i agree with callmege that u cant talk about systems or games without real legitimate reasons. I for one dont like the kiddy style of the wii, gears of war ( because of the really limited replay value and the bad offline multiplayer) and i dont like the lack of support for ps3 with instructions and good games. See that is being a truely at peace gamer
