Capcom just announced that Devil May Cry 4 will go multi platform and will appear on the 360 and the PC. With exclusives dropping like flies can the PS3 really keep up the pace? The unreleased worthwhile exclusives now stand at:

FFXIII
FF Vs XIII
MGS4
Monster Hunter 3

And people reckon Monster Hunter 3 (another capcom title) will go multiplat soon. The others might not be too far behind. Not good news.

Why? Because Capcom found out that Microsoft and their fans love their games. Chrome Hounds and Dead Rising sold like gangbusters even with mixed reviews (Chrome Hounds more so). So DMC4 is not that great of a shock. It still sucks the PS3 is bleeding exclusives.

Its gonna take time before developers really get to grips with what the ps3 can offer them, and until then few are gonna want to commit to exclusive games, it sucks now but soon we will get our exclusives back, and better still ps3 exclusives will be so powerful and high end that they may not even be able to cross over to the 360.

i think the floodgates will open with the likes of MGS4 which is gonna be totally sweet

ya well just think about this.....if the 360 is getting so many of ps3 exclusives how many more people are gonna wanna buy the more expensive ps3? that would lead to not enough units out, leading to never getting our exclusives back! Do u think thats the case??

360 may be getting our exclusives but we still get them too, so for now we have great games and yea, we have to share, but is that not enough for now? If we enjoy the games we get (shared or not) and give it a lil time and we will get not only exclusives, but exclusives that will be unmatched in both gameplay and quality. I have waited long enough for the ps3, im sure i can hold on for developers to learn how to make ps3 quality games

Well... The 360 have a 10 million+ install base versus the PS3's 1 million+ install base. Along with the rising development costs, it is natural for the developers and publishers to release the game on multiplatform, just so they can secure some profit. Just like Phil said in GDC, the PS3 does not have enough units sold at this point to support huge exclusives like GTA... and DMC... But as the PS3 builds up its install base, I think huge exclusives like these games may reappear on the console...

FF VIII and MGS are still pretty heavyweight titles that so far are still exclusive. These could help shift a few units. FF VII did exactly that for the PS1.

I don't see reason to worry, ps3 needs time to grow, to stand up on it's feet like its big bro the ps2. i think we will still have final fantasy and metal gear both loyal to ps and at the end of the day i dont think there are any games that look more stunning then either of those titles. beleive me people, ps3 will get bigger and we'll eventually get exclusives that will blow your minds

^yup as NightCougar says it will change as the PS3 grows. It's early days and developers are just being cautious. It's always risky pledging exclusivity to new consoles without even knowing how well they are going to sell. It makes much more sense business wise to offer your games to an established user base such as the 360. As I said earlier you really can't get much bigger than FF and MGS so it's a really good start.

PS3 just lost Ace Combat 6 too. Apparently its not a 360 exclusive.

I don't mind it, but Capcom shouldn't have called DMC4 PS3 exclusive when they first unveiled it.

Perhaps we should be more worried about 360 exclusives that the PS3 won't be getting. Bioshock, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell: Conviction, etc.

Sony is getting a taste of their own medicine now.
Last gen didn't see much exclusives for the Xbox.
X360 will get it's own exclusives now ,and take away exclusives from Sony.
PS3 will get games like Saint's Row that have been around for 1+ year.
But the 360 will get the killer franchises that were once Sony exclusives.
If I were Sony I'd pay big bucks and hold on to MetalGear and FinalFantasy.

man who cares bro, them 360 boys and all of their exclusive games can go suck ma dyck, hey if the game is good that you play for the ps3, than why complain about the ratings for both consol's. i mean it aint like its gonna hurt us, just wait until CRYSIS comes out, then lets see what happens. i heard the 360 couldn't handle it.

Yeah ,you're right....... maybe Crysis will become a PS3 exclusive.

Let's also pray to the god of videogames that he equippes MaxTorque21 's PS3 with a big gloryhole for his massive 3 inch fanboy dyck.

you guys argue like a bunch of schoolgirls, so what who gets what, i dont care if i share games with 360 owners, i just wanna play dude, and when sony gets running on all cylinders maybe it will win back some lost ground, if the games are there then be happy, if you have a poblem (ps3 or 360 owner) look in the mirror and staring back at u is a fanboy, deal with it.

some guys jus like to have a go, when people finally let this multi platform crap go they'll start the new fight over which looks best, stop fighting and get playin, just enjoy your consoles man
