If I were you, I would read this: http://uk.gamespot.com/ps3/action/so...og/review.html In short, no. It sounds bad.

EDIT: Im not sure that link works, so I will copy and paste review from GameSpot:

4.2
poor

Sonic the Hedgehog may share its name with the Genesis original, but this game is even more broken than most of the other recent Sonic games have been

The Good: The environments are at least colorful.
The Bad: Camera frequently gets in the way; full of little graphical and animation glitches; lengthy and frequent loading times always get in the way; town missions are just plain stupid; action stages aren't really much better.

(Last Paragraph of review):

Only the most blindly reverent Sonic the Hedgehog fan could possibly squeeze any enjoyment out of Sega's latest adventure. This platformer is a mess from top to bottom, and any of the occasional moments that don't feel somehow broken only serve to make the game's other flaws appear that much bigger.

I rented it from Gamefrenzy Friday and it arrived Saturday. Had my little brother staying with me, so it was intended for him. He's 11 and enjoyed it for half an hour or so then got frustrated. Was gonna post it back today to get another game, but the other half has decided she likes it and wants to play it a bit more.

Generally you'll either love it or hate it. Personally I'd avoid it.

I've only just started using them, so can't really comment. But I joined on Friday after finding out Blockbuster weren't renting PS3 titles, and by 9am Saturday morning Sonic was delivered. I too wasn't sure I'd get a PS3 title straight away so added a handful of PS2 titles onto my wishlist just incase.

So far I'm very happy with their service.
