I hate the PS3 controller it is too small for my hands and causes cramping after playing for a while. I want to know if they make a controller for the PS3 that is like the 360 controller. I could care less about the six axis bs. I just want a 360 style control that I can play on my PS3.

Well i'm sorry mate, but your going to have to continue playing with the PS3 controller because no way in hell will sony copy the 360's controller layout ect.....

theres an aftermarket controller (cant remember who by) that looks bigger than the official controller, give them a try

I was wondering if a private company produced them. Similar to those you can buy and use to play PC games.

I understand Sony wont copy Microsoft for legality reasons, that doesnt mean a company in china wouldnt copy them and distribute them privately.

Look up PS3 controller hacks you might find something I oddly saw a ps2 controller used as a PSP controler....

bud if u dont like ps3 controllers then why did u buy a ps3? there the same as ps2 really. if u want 360 controllers, u know what to buy

I already have an xbox 360, it sucks more than a 5 dollar hooker. Nothing but problems with the 360 I have sent it back for repairs 3 times!!! Each time I am without a machine for 5+ weeks. The only thing good about the 360 is the shape of the controller.

The PS3 is a far superior machine, even the features of the controller are awesome. Its just too small, and shaped funny to hold properly.

I haven't seen one yet, but if they are not making these aftermarket controllers yet, I am pretty sure they will be making them soon. The only aftermarket controllers I have seen so far are the Mad Catz controllers and the Logitech controllers...

anyone got any update about sony giving us rumble back? i'm planning on not buying an extra controller until they bring the vibes back.

Dunno about when rumble will be back but hopefully they will fix the shitty trigger buttons when they add that.

I have to admit that I wasn't keen on the idea of the Sixaxis when I first heard it had no rumble, but after a good play on Motorstorm and Resistance I really don't miss it at all. The lack of rumble is really no problem for me

The triggers take some getting used to but I'm starting to like them too.

I'm glad that the PS3 controller is the way it is, I don't like the 360 controller. No matter how much I try I can't get used to the positioning of the d-pad and the analogue sticks. I have plenty of practice because most of my friends own 360's but I always find myself wishing I was playing with a PS2/3 controller.

P.S As for bringing the rumble back the Official UK PlayStation mag wrote an article saying that Sony have settled their legal dispute with rumble developers Immersion and are planning on putting the rumble back into the Sixaxis. I expect this will take some time to happen, probably we won't see them until the PS3 enters its second generation.

I saw in the new PSM, (Independent Playstation Magazine), that there is a controller that looks like the xbox 360 controller being released by a third party that is for Playstation 2. So, you can probably hope that they do the same for Playstation 3 as it goes. I do like the xbox 360 controller but I love the Ps3 controller also. I don't know I've never been that picky about controllers. After I get used to the feel I'm good.

can you use the controllers as normal ( ie the playstation 2 way ) or do you have to rotate it and shake it and the other 6 axis bs to make the game work ?

the 360 controller is just crap,looks uglly...........so does the console and i h8 it

well before sony released the ps2 style controller they had that wierd one 'bannana' controller,one with the exstended handles lol

any1 remember that ??

the 360 controller is comfortable and looks pretty cool,admitedly the ps3 looks slightly better then the 360 due to shape and colour ( well actually black isnt a colour its a shade but meh ) the banana controller was crap that was putting me off buying a ps3,luckily they changed it back,so now i can get one in a few weeks mtime,are you able to use the ps3 controller like normal or do you need to twist it around an shit just to make it work ?
