at the end of the day its all about opinions but i agree with what you say bout metallica and maiden seem to have lost there way a bit but i highly recommend you check out graveworm mainly (n)topia and there is another one with ''black'' in the title only dl a couple of songs have you heard paradise lost's new album in requiem???****ing rules

Nah I haven't listened to much Doom/Goth Metal in recent years. Only really still listen to My Dying Bride. I'm much more into Black and Death these days.

90% of American metal is awful.

I'm pretty sure I only listen to 2 American bands, GWAR and Nile. GWAR are just a laugh a minute and I don't know how anyone could dislike them and Nile have an Egyptian theme going on so it moves away from the American style of metal.
