I'm a big Final Fantasy Fan, played all the games from VII to X-2
And was wondering when Final Fantasy reaches the PS3

XIII should be the next one out, it was show at E3 2006... anyway, was the VII start video just made to demonstrate the PS3 graphics, or am i just hoping for a remake

Anyone else waiting for FF?

uhhh ya......i cant wait...and the VII was a tech demo but idk if it will be a game.....I think sometime this fall ill pick up a $20 copy of FFXII cause i didnt play it yet.....I was stupid enough to sell my copy of FFX (the best one btw) to afford Rainbow Six Vegas...Thats were my FF addiction started took me about 2 years to beat it (got bored near the end and quit for a few months) But cant wait till it comes out next year (lets hope its not like FFXII and was delayed for a long time....)

I'm a big fan as well, but a little opposite of your fanness(?this a word?). You played VII thru X-2, I played 1 through 6, then XII... I played 7 for a bit on the PC but it broke, I've never owned a playstation until now. I had nintendo and super nintendo.

As far as XIII goes, I can't ****ing wait.

Yeah X was good, i personally prefered FF9, i thought the story was cool, and the material system on FFVII was gd too, but there was little Character difference as everyone could pretty much do the same thing, except different 'limit breaks' I cant actually play Vii since i got a PS2 or 3 the graphics are seriously shite, but it was made in '94 or somthing.

Am i right in thinking that all the new FF's will be ported to other systems?

I'm afraid you are wrong, ffXIII and versus will be PS3 only, they are being developed specifically for the ps3 cell processor and probably wouldn't fit on a regular dvd and need the blu ray. Be glad you have a ps3.

VII was the best for me followed closely by IX then X although i have yet to play XII. XIII is set to be amazing so roll on 2008

Thats awesome, wouldnt want the 360 to have it, its one of the series that persuaded me to get a Playstation/PS2 and the game for the PS3

Never played IX, I thought X wasn't very fun, I didn't give it very long though, might have to go back and try again. XII is great, awesome awesome game, I'm at the last dungeon, but it's getting really tough.

I never bought it? my PS3 is form HK? so the games wont be in english, i could buy for my PS2 but cant be bothered... is there much of a difference if u use the upscaling and image smoothing with the PS3?

I didnt mind X, i just prefered iX and Vii for game play. I didnt like the whole gunblade thing in Viii. The graphics improvement form Vii to iX is amazing.

Did u ever complete the Blitzball thing, and the overdrive in X was crap i thought

I did not finish the blitzball thing, that kind of turned me off right away. What the heck is blitzball? lol. PS3's are pretty much region free, so you can play american games i fyou want.

Yeah, but the PS1 and PS2 games are regioned, so i think i can play NTSC-J games, which i guess are in japanese...

blitzball was a fun little mini game...you didnt have to win the game to proceed you could have lost. It takes a lot of quick thinking to play blitzball it kind of adds the RPG feeling in a sport with HP a form of MP for special moves pause to take a shot....hard but got you a lot of prizes. And has anyone ever played FFXI I want to try it but would it work with the wireless connection on the PS3?

I tried FFXI for a night, was so put off that I quit immediately. It's probably pretty good, but too slow at the beginning.

I don't know if it would work on the ps3 or not, but I do know that wired or wireless connection does not matter.
