Don't need to read anymore. It was pretty obvious that the 360 was going to cause problems. Not having hdds in all their systems and not using a bigger memory disc in the form of hd-dvd was the worst mistake ever. Sony got it right on the button. Have a good large hard drive and go with the better hd dics in blu-ray. A lot of us have already said 360 was to blame and this just helps support the theory. Good find Crossfade.

actually i agree. people taunted sony for taking thier time in developing the PS3 ect but they got it spot on and the time microsoft had, which was approx one year, did sony many favours. thanks microsoft for giving sony a leg boost to a win in this gen war =]

It also goes to show that MS jumped out of the traps too early. We are seeing on a daily basis more and more technical problems with 360s and now the system can't handle a big game like GTA. The difference between PS3 and 360 is beginning. PS3 will start throwing out better looking games, developers will start concentrating more on PS3 knowing that the discs and system can handle big games and Blu-Ray will put the final nail in the coffin of HD-DVD soon.

ps3 verson looks to be ready at normal release but is being held out of retail...maybe they will take the extra time to polish the game as much as possible for the ps3...that would be cool

yea more polish will be better, the 360 messes up another game and it had to be gta dammit, rockstar is the one to be blamed, see where they've ended up.

either that or the multiplatform games will be scaled down so the xbox can handle it, damn 360 pulling sony behind either way.

Lack of hard drive space on the 360 ****ed it up. But its good for both platforms more polishing time.

actually the truth is that at the E3 showing of the gameplay demo thingy, they said that in places full of people, cars ect ect it has slowdown and the drawdistance sometimes messes up (more than normal)

so maybe they are trying to sort these problems out...

i hate 360

There is no way that this will happen. It would be financially suicidal for devs to scale down a game on PS3 so it runs the same as 360. Most people, like myself, bought a ps3 for the simple reason that it will give out better looking games than 360. Just look at Motorstorm. No game on 360 comes close to looking that real.

Michael Pachter works for microsoft doesn't he?
anyways all the e3 demos were running on the "lead platform" of the ps3....so if it was true that it is soo hard to make on the ps3 that it caused a 6 month delay then why were they running everything on the ps3 platform and not the box?

that is why i don't think it is true but no one knows just yet

Agree that we may never know the reason. Did not know that Pachter worked for MS. Sure no wonder. Trying to deflect attention away from 360. How pathetic.

yeah everyone is being all hush hush about the situation...i hope though that someone will own up to it weather it be the box ps3 or just plain rockstar....
