Orange box or Call of Duty 4?

I want one of these games but i cant buy both, limited budget and whatnot. which one should i buy? never played half life 1 so if im missing a lot of story i might not want to get it and i like cod4 but im not sure if the new setting makes the game new enough for me. Reccomendations?

Personally speaking, I'll probably get Orange Box anyway. Played Half Life on the PS2 and thought it was brilliant (not much of a PC gamer).

Shall certainly have a play of COD4 though. It's a franchise I've never really had a proper go of.

Well...if you can afford, buy both of them and buy from eBay where prices are like 40% cheaper than the local electronic stores. <Well, for european gamers, that is>

i'm getting cod4 just because i love war shooters that are realistic
and i can play just the single player over and over without getting bored
i have cod1 and united offense and cod2 on my pc that i play all the time
so i get my daily dose of killing nazi's
