Does any-one know wheather you can play PS2 games on the 40Gb PS3 cause i am thinking about buying one and getting rid of the PS2 but have about 150 games for the PS2 which i still sometimes play.

Quick answer is no, longer answer is get a 60gb PS3 from ebay as these can't be purchased new anymore

a 60gb will be a lot dearer than the 40gb as the 60gb was discountinued or somethin. However it does have 20gb more space and the backwards compatibilty that you want so you should buy it, even though it might cost you a bit more.

yea but those websites don't actually sell them themselves. Other people post details etc to see one. Also look how dear they are, £525 on amazon, whoa lol. Play is £749, thats over twice what I paid for mine lol.

I was gutted that I missed out on the last of the 60 gb's, wasn't quick enough to decide on whether to get a PS3 or not and when I did decide all the 60's were gone

You could always buy an 80... I think... Not too sure because I don't really pay much attention to that side of things, seeing as I've got one. Just focus on the games.

Hell just upgrade your HDD, Sony want us to, the warrenty doesnt void if you do and its not expensive to change to 120g HDD.
