Is it possible?
Is it possible to play PC games on the PS3? I thought I read something on another site about it but I can't find it anymore. If so, what do you need to do to get the games to play?

There is a program called StreamMyGame, but, to use it, you need Linux on your ps3, basically you use the pc as a games server then access the game through your ps3 that is running Linux.

If your meaning distrobution, there are many flavors, YDL is one of them, Gentoo is another, Ubuntu yet another, YDL (Yellow Dog Linux) and Ubuntu are two of the easiest distro's to install and use.

becarefull from what i heard on here a little while back installing linux may cause some problem's.

well, i have an off topic question, where can i download this linux? or can you get a retail copy..
ontopic, i have also read threads about people playing pc games on ps3.

They say it free. You just have to look fot it. Try googling it. Also, it very large (over 3GB) and difficult to install but there are instructions that are easy to find.

Linux is not always over 3Gb, some of the flavours are slightly under 1Gb, weighing in at around 700Mb.
It all depends on which one you go for, Ubuntu is pretty small, Yellow Dog is massive.
I have installed Linux twice onto my ps3 now, the only reason I have given up for the moment is due to me having an SDTV and not being able to see stuff properly, so, I am waiting until I get a HDTV.

my friends wants me to get it but i dont have a good enough pc to play it so could i geet linux and then play counterstrike on my ps3?
