hey, im getting a new ps3 in about a month and i was wondering what everyone thought about the game resistance. How is the single player, online and splitscreen?

I thought Resistance was epic. Online was awesome, although some people were disappointed, dont ask me why? Single player was good too. And split screen i only played a couple of times but, it was good fun.

^^^^Resistance 2 is slated for September to December I believe, though it could get delayed because that's Killzone 2's timeframe and Sony wouldn't want such similar games releasing in such close proximity. Don't quote me on that though.

If you're like me and don't buy games very often, I would go with another shooter like Army of Two or Rainbow Six Vegas, because once you get Killzone or Resistance 2, the first one will collect dust in the back of your closet. Whereas Army of Two and R6V are different enough that they won't be replaced by the new FPS' coming out in Winter.

I do agree with you but resistance i think is just that could that you actually should get it. I really dont buy games often either but if you have a ps3 i think you should also have resistance. Plus you should beat the first so when you get the second you know about the story and what going on. And how to play online.

^^^^Well about the story part I guess you're right, as far as online I don't think it really matters you don't need to be adept at Resistance to play online you can suck and then gradually learn.

But it's your choice man, and this is all assuming you don't purchase games frequently. If you've got money to burn and/or you're an avid gamer, get Resistance and play it until R2 releases.

Resistance it great online game. I still like to play it from time to time. As a single player, i found it abit boring.

Buuuut, if you're looking towards Resistance II, you might was well play the first one. Then you know the storyline behind it.

If nothing else, try to borrow it from a friend? I'm sure you can beat it in a few days if you don't do anything else lol.

As for me, I got Resistance when I got my PS3, I beat it a few weeks after I got it. I'm sure some time this summer I will play it again but on a harder difficulty level.

I love Resistance, especially the online play. I think it's worth picking up even though a sequel is coming out this year.

The game rules. The online was amazing it was just crazy at times. From reports the second one will have sooped up graphics however the first one is still very pretty on the eye.
