COD4 - Prestige Mode Question
A couple of weeks back I unlocked prestige mode in the game.
Not played it since until last night and managed to get up to level 12 Sergeant II.
Now my question is how far into prestige mode do I have to go until I unlock Red Dot Sight etc

It just resets
to regain red dot sight, ACOG, grip etc..
u have to do the challenges for that weapon all over again

The only way to get red dot site is to get 25 kills with which ever weapon you want red dot site for. lets say you want it for the MP5. You get 25 kills with it and get a challenge completed and get 100xp. After the game it will say red dot site. it has nothing to do with your rank, just how fast you can get 25 kills

mmmmmmm......this is what I thought but the challenge option is still greyed out. It's not allowing me to select it and gives me a message saying "Unlocked at Lance Corporal I (Lv5)". Next to it is the green NEW box, but I can't open the Challenge menu up.....aaaarrrgghhhh!!!!
I'm well past the Lance Corporal stage so why is the challenge option not open?
I can't play through this game with just the iron sights!!!!!

At the moment any of them! I'm using the AK-47 at the min but I've also been using others like MP5 and that other one that take about half an hour to reload, SAW 249 or something.
It's doing my head in cos the challenge option should be open by now but isn't and as I've said in my previous post, the Green NEW box is there but the option is still greyed out.

U still have to get to the rank that u can unlock challenges......

when you unlock the gun you automatically unlock all the challenges for the gun. thats really weird. it must be a mistake

... once again before u can unlock anything u have to get to the rank where u unlock challenges which i think is like rank 5 not sure on it though

Yes thats right and I'm aware of this, but as I've said in a previous post, I'm well past Lance Corporal I (level 5) and the challenge option should have opened up! I CAN'T SELECT THE CHALLENGE OPTION
Again, as of a previous post I'm now into the first prestige and I'm currently @ level 15 (Gunnery Seargent, I think).
This must be more common and it's obviously a bug in the game.
I've downloaded the update patch and that hasn't made a scrap of difference either.
This is really spoiling my enjoyment of this game. I'm using iron sights and I'm getting a right beating...lol
