these are 2 completely different games, how could you not know which you would enjoy more right now? COD4 is instant mayhem but gets repetitive quicker,whereas GTA unfolds slower and is less action but more depth!

depends do u already have other shooters? then maybe not cod4 ? if u like gta and played there other games go for that...personally buy both trade in your other games most likely they arent as good

Think about it,what sells is good and what sells is FPS,because FPS is the best genre of gaming.
CoD4 is better than GTA IV hands down.But Resistance is the best because of it's brilliant online player,and superior story in comparison to CoD4.

GTA IV has a lot more replay value than COD4 and has a better storyline and gameplay. Get GTA IV for sure.

cod4 without a doubt,the multiplayer cannot be topped by any game at the moment

I would go with COD4 still the best game out there. I have GTA and was disappointed with it. Single player mode is OK and on line is a joke. Stupid modes of play. the only thing online that is good is the racing. and I can buy Grid for that.

Another thing to add is that GTA is one of a kind, whereas COD4 will lose the limelight when Resistance 2 and/or Killzone 2 becomes the next big FPS that everyone plays. Nothing really will outdo GTA4, since all it's competitors end up worse than it, i.e. Saints Row, Mercenaries (sort of), Just Cause, Crackdown (sort of)

My ass Shooters are the best genres! But then again, that your opinion. Most shooters don't have a decent storyline.

^^^^But evidently they are the most successful, since EVERYONE is putting out FPS'. You've got Resistance, Killzone, Haze, Quake Wars, COD, and then all those less popular ones, like Rainbow Six, GRAW, Battlefield, Brothers in Arms, etc.

that might be true... but not for online, if you have internet on your PS3 go for COD 4 , if not GTA 4 is the way to go ( the campaign mode for COD 4 only lasts a day, or 2 and even tho its fun to replay, it'll get boring fast w/ut internet)
