Maybe i'm a bit slow on finding this out but it had came to my attention that alot of people are using the race card on the new upcoming Resident Evil 5 game. People are claiming it is racist as it shows a white male going around killing black African zombies.

Society is starting to become way too petty about silly things like this.

What are your thought on this game being 'racist'?

It's childish, but not surprising. There's an obnoxiously large amount of reverse racism in the US. Black people were treated terribly in the past, so now if you're not black you have to feel guilty for them, so you defend their race in any controversy or conflict.

Was anyone crying out for Hispanics when Resident Evil 4 came out? (All the enemies were Hispanic, since it took place in a Spanish village I believe)

What do they expect, honestly. Should the game developers make the zombies 50% white, since it is, after all, Africa??

On a side note, I think people may be upset also b/c they think it draws a parallel to AIDS.

But when you look at such games as GTA San Andreas, that was a black guy going around and you could kill white people. The whole game was a black cultured game, does that make GTA San Andreas racist?

I just think Capcom wanted to come up with something new, a new environment which hasn't been done before. I think it is a great idea that the game is set in Africa. Also there is a black African woman in the game that goes round killing black zombies. It can't be racist now can it?

The fact remains to me at least, that 99% of Africa is inhabited by black people and I should know seeing as I'm a white guy living in South Africa. This racist stuff is getting old really fast, just play the damn game people and leave the politics out of it.

Ah geez. It's not racist at all, I'm black and that thought never even crossed my mind. It's stupid.

If it was a black guy shooting the black zombies soe could say: "Ah, why do they have this black guy killing his own kind, that's racist" ~ [sigh].

If it was the white guy shooting white zombies in Africa they could say: "Why are the zombies white? It's Africa! That's racist" ~ [sigh]

Someone always complains about something, so might as well ignore it.

Yeah there are many black people on youtube making videos saying how it isn't racist, i'm glad the majority of people aren't stupid. It can only be racist if there is any racist language used in it, which there isn't.
