Final Fantasy XIII for 2008
Just read this article that FFXIII has been confirmed for 2008.
In a recent interview, Nomura confirmed to the Famitsu gaming magazine that Final Fantasy XIII won't be coming out in 2007, and that the new release date is set for 2008. The most simple explanation is that they still have some other projects to finish before being able to fully focus on Final Fantasy XIII.
There's still going to be a demo released this year but not the full game.
Gotta confess i am disappointed that it's gonna be another year til this is ready but on the other hand i'd rather they didnt rush it out and made sure it's 100% finished.

Well, i'm not sure... especially for Europe, could easily be end 2008, begin 2009...

Ha! Where did you get that from?
If that is indeed true, however, that would be for Japan ONLY.
However, there is no chance [IMO] that FFXIII will be released this year. Q1 '08 for Japan...probably. Q3 '08 for U.S...Q4 '08 everywhere else.
Thats my view, anyway.

^It sucks, I know.
I wish that SE would do a worldwide release! Everyone getting FFXIII at the same time!
That would be pretty cool...very unlikely though.

I thought Nomura was mainly involved with Versus and only designed the characters for the original XIII.

I also heard from I can't remmber where that FFXIII and Versus will be the last FF game that Nomura will be working on...after that, he will be focusing on remakes.
You reckon that's true?

Well, maybe the last of the ongoing Final Fantasy's...for example, no Final Fantasy XIV...could you really Imagine a Final Fantasy XIV though? I can't.
However, if its true, he will be working on spin-offs and remakes:
There is still Agito XIII for mobile phones...however, SE says the game is too advanced for 3G phones...they need 4G [which hasnt been invented yet!]
Crisis Core: FFVII for PSP
FF1 & 2 (ports though) for PSP
There will be a FFTactics remake for PSP aswell.
So we havent seen the last of it yet!

Nomura =/= Final Fantasy. I'm rather bored with his designs for FF as well so I'm glad that Akihiko Yoshida came in for FF12.

Nomura is working in FFvXIII, after that he will mainly focus on the kingdom hearts series...

No, i think not, a few months ago, final fantasy XIII was 13% complete, and versus only 2 procent... |
