Infamous

Infamous game coming up this fall... heard it was good...

the demo is out on PS store. I dl'd it. played it. it's kinda good. but looks like it would get tedious when the enemies get harder as the game progressed. i like the idea of being able to climb anything tho.

The climbing is my favorite part of the demo. It's not like Assassin's Creed, where the game does everything for you - you feel like you can go anywhere, as it's very natural, but you still have to look for stuff like window ledges and pipes and stuff that you can grab onto, so it feels realistic at the same time. It's great!

The demo was suprisingly long too - it takes about an hour to get through the whole thing!

this game is awesome i rented it and beat it u can choose to be evil or good u can switch when ever but takes a long time. its worth playing

Yeah, the full game's playtime is surprisingly long, and with good replayability too. You can power through it in about 15 hours, if you don't do much exploring for shards or side missions, but you'd be missing out on some of the best stuff. Plus you'll need to play through the entire game at least twice to get the Platinum trophy - one as a good guy and one as a bad guy. To me, it's much more than a rental - I'm glad I purchased it when it came out. It's probably my favorite game of the year so far.

i just got it and so far I am impressed. it is way better than the demo makes it out to be. highly recomend it.

I think the demo's pretty good, and it's worth downloading if you haven't picked up inFamous yet, but my only problem with it is that you don't really get a feel for how DEEP the game's story actually is. The comic-book style storytelling is actually very engrossing, and it's got one of the best endings I've seen in a LONG time.

Although I AM curious to see how the ending changes on my next playthrough, since there's different endings for good and evil.

don't spoil the endings, I haven't been able to play much because it's hella hot right now where I am, and it's torture to play PS3, with no A/C.

Nah, I'm not gonna spoil the endings at all - that's not cool. I'm just saying, inFamous has one of the best stories I've seen in a PS3 game, which is surprising, because you'd usually expect that out of an RPG or something.

It's awesome, and I can't WAIT to see a sequel!

hey, when you go to do the second play through, do you continue from the first one (keep your shards, DD's and upgrades) or do you have to start from scratch again?

By the way, if you're into the story, they also did a prequel comic online that takes place before the game begins. They uploaded the first part about a month ago, but they just finally finished all 4 parts over the weekend; you can check it out at IGN's inFamous hub:
