Motorstorm
Got mine today - 1st day of US release. Pretty darn good I'd say.
Offline mode - only real surprise was that even the level 1 races were fairly challenging, but then again, I am a solid "novice" player so others might challenge that statement. I was getting pretty good at the demo version (4:59 on the demo track was my record - respectable but not amazing I'm guessing) and thought I would carve through the 1st couple of levels with ease. Wrong.
Online mode - pretty good. Smooth play, no dropped frames that I saw. Only complaint, and its a minor one for me, is that it takes a while to get into an online race. But, its day 1, so that might change quickly. One other minor complaint on the online mode, if you roll over (dont actually blow up) then you dont "respawn" right away. Several times I had to blow myself up with excessive boosting to get back in the race. Ok, so dont roll over you say? True. But youve been warned!!! The cool part of online is there is a LOT more pushing and shoving and running players off the track (kills) than in the offline mode. Very cool!!!
Overall I'm really pleased with the purchase. I really liked the F1 demo and thought about buying that instead. Ultimately, I thought Motorstorm just had a higher fun factor for me. It did not disappoint. I have 4 PS3 games so far and Motorstorm and Resistance are easily my favs so far (other 2 are Tony Hawk and Full Auto)

ya i also got motorstorm the first day. and if you roll over just press the select button it automatically resets your vehicle upright, and you can start going again. and ya i think the game is amazing the graphics are so good. but you are right the 1 player mode is pretty hard. for me the only downfall was the loading times, they are longer than some games. but just when you are loading the vehicle, and loading the actual race.

MotorStorm is an amazing game. Best game on the PS3 hands down. Even people without the PS3 should try it because it's that good.

How is the game compared to the demo? I played the demo but got bored at it overtime. This game looks really good, but is it worth it to purchase this game if I have already played and got bored at the demo?

well of course you would get board of playing the demo, there are only two different vehicles and only one track. . . how could you not get board. the game is soooooo worth buying. it is the best racing game i have ever played. the track in the demo is probably the worst and least complex and diverse track in the game. and it still is a really fun track, so that just shows how many other unbelievably awesome the other tracks are in the game. also the vehicles to choose from, wow, they are sweet. there are buggies, big rigs, rally cars, racing trucks, motorcycles, atv's, and like a hole bunch of other unique vehicles, for example one called a mud plugger. one player is very fun. you half to collect points for each race you do, and half to come in the top three in a race to unlock a new race. when you come first place a couple times you get new tickets unlocked, there are usually three races to a ticket, but you need to come first on each race to acquire the most possible points for that ticket. if you have all the points for example 250/250 points than you unlock a new ticket. from the looks of it there are a lot of tickets in the game. as for online well it is also very fun, you can join various different lobbies, for example us 1, us central, us 2, us 3, there is even an Australian lobby. there are a lot of lobbies because the max amount of people for each lobby i think is 256 people in one lobby. you can join a game, or create a game. you can choose from any track, any vehicle, but that is for the host of that game to decide. if you join a game and the other players are in a race than you must wait a couple minutes for the players to finish that race. if you dont feel like waiting, just join a different game. you can use headsets which is really cool. and you can even make the other peoples voices when they talk come through the t.v speakers. but that might only be on certain headsets. for graphics i would give the game 10/10, for 1 player i would give the game a 9/10, for online i would give it a 9/10 also. and for overall fun i would give it a 1000000/10. -----ya it is that good. you will not get board playing this game.
god i really feel like a game critic after writing this. HOLY SHIT.
this better have helped you make up your mind Hondan---lol.
any more questions just post away, i will be happy to answer them.

Does the fact that there is no offline multiplayer put a downer on things?
I like having my mates over and thought this would be an excellent game for us play whilst having a few beers!

ya that is probably one of the only downfalls of the game, but it would probably still be fun to have friends over and take turns competing for the best lap times and stuff. and if they all get ps3's then just play online. i guess motorstorm creators left multiplayer out because the disc was already almost filled up, and they didn't feel that it was that important. it must already be pushing the limit for the amount of memory you can fit on a blue-ray disc because the only other downfall is the loading times, they are a little longer than most games.
