6-axis controller incorporated into games
hi, i done a search on this and havn't gotten much, i was just wondering, does the motion sensor work well with the new games?
i'll be getting resistance, ridge racer 7 and gundam musou with my ps3.
thought it would be a good idea to involve the motion sensor with the movement of the character in resistence (never did like the double joystick movement in FPSs, allways preferred keyboard and mouse)
and in RR7, it would be good if tilting of the controller affected the steering of the car (lol i normally tilt the controller anyways in racing games, just a habit)
will these games allow me to test out the new functions or will i have to wait for new games to come out?
oh and one more thing, i remember reading somewhere that the R2 and L2 buttons are made bigger. by bigger does it mean its just a bigger button (i.e. covers a larger area)
or does it mean its got more depth (like the triggers on the 360)

I think in RR7 the sixaxis is only used for drifting...?
However, Im not sure as I do not own this game, or a PS3 for that matter. It is just based on what I have heard.
Also, [again from what I have heard around] in Resistance, you use the sixaxis to hit enemies when they jump on you.
So neither game uses the sixaxis to such an extent.
And, apparently the R2 and L2 are like triggers, preventing them from sticking so much. There are pictures of the sixaxis [just google search or something], but like I said...I have not yet had first hand experience...
...is it Friday yet?

Doesn't Motorstorm support tilt control? Though I find it rather loose and I prefer the analog stick for racing games.

Motorstorm does support tilt control, you can drive with the sixaxis. Not all games support tilt control though. If you want a good motion controlled game, then get flOw, this game is controlled solely by the motion sensors in the controller.

SIXAIXS control is a lame thing right now. Only gimmicky but hopefull that will change in time. Games that use it (as far as I know)
Call of Duty 3- to pistol whip, row a boat, drive a jeep, and arm explosives.
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance- to add extra power to super moves
Resistance- To shake off Chimera that jump you
Tony Hawk Project 8- to keep balance when doing grinds and manuals
NBA 07- to preform spin and juke moves
F1: Championship Edition- Steering
MotorStorm- Steering
MLB 2K7- Batting

^That list doesn't sound very involving!!
Hopefully Sony might think of better way's to use the sixaxis. I have watched videos of people using sixaxis for motorstorm steering and it looks...awkward! I'll try it out, but I will probably switch back to anologue.

Super Rub a Dub supposedly uses full motion control too... but I heard that game is horrible.

^With that title, need more said?!
But seriosly. I do hope that they will try and make something out of this motion sensor stuff.
'Cus seems like most people enjoyed rumble better---if they don't like motion either, and switch it off then...there is nothing. Just a lump of plastic molded to fit a hand.

I felt somewhat the same way, but playing flOw completely changed my mind, since it solely relies on motion controls. There is a learning curve with the motion sensor controls, but once you get used to it, it does prove to be fun...

i am still not too sure about the sixaxis, although i am yet to try it, i cant see myself using it too much, cuz when im playing and loosing i tend to shout and jump around like a madman and i cant see the sixaxis liking that, i wud sooner have a rumble in there, but, i can only try it for myself, may jus like it
