95% certain a PS3 is heading my way. Rejoice world...REJOICE!!!!
For donkeys years....ok well a couple of months, I've been considering getting a new phone. Mine is around 3-4 years old and barely working (2 or 3, 10 minute calls will drain my battery flat). Before I came to uni my brother (who has finished uni a few years ago) kept telling me to get a contract phone as I'm currently on 3 pay as you go bullshit.

In short, I'm tired of never having a signal, tired of having a shitty camera and tired of my battery having all the lifespan of a mayfly...oh and I'm tired of the aerial bit which sticks out, looks gay and scratches shit.

So today I got given a link to...well...the link...who sell mobile phones. And low and behold, they have an offer for a FREEEEEEEEEEEEE (EDIT: by free I mean that I have to pay for the PS3 over an 18 month period...but thats as good as free) PS3. All I have to do is get a contract phone and I get a free 60GB UK PS3. Bar-****ing-gain.

Cheap handset, good free minutes and texts, camera that bitchslaps my current one and a decent monthly contract price (£55).

You scared the shit out of me for a second. Personally I think its a pretty good deal yeah. The monthly rental is a bit high but there are a lot of free minutes (I talk mostly) and a nice amount of texts (I don't text all that often). Plus the phone got good reviews and I get a free £425 games console.

I've never heard anything bad about the link but they're a high street brand so I can **** them up with trading standards if they screw me over. I did go for it and I just finished buying it.

Yea, it is a good deal...any deal that gives away a free 60GB PS3 sounds good enough to me :P

yea, I know loads of people who have that phone, and I think they all like it.

Well, when you find out your PS3 is on the way, tell us!

Yeah when it arrives I will head down to game and buy resistance. It should be here by next Friday (5 working days max to deliver) so I'll have around 2-3 weeks of online play time before I come back to uni...and then no online because my university IT staff are nazis.

Hmm...I might get motorstorm then. Everyone seems to talk about it.

A friend of mine reckons I'm getting ripped off but I also reckon hes just jealous. It works out nicely as far as I'm concerned:

Total cost of contract: £990
Cost of PS3: £425
Amount I save on the phone £60

Cost of line rental after PS3 and phone saving: £505

So I'm only paying £28 per month line rental and I get 1200 minutes and 300 texts free. I just quit wow so I'm £20 a month better off from that. I bought a 360 because I have the option to upgrade all the bits when I want. This deal is like a PS3 mortgage. I pay the price of a PS3 in the end but it doesn't hit me in the pocket because the cost is spread over 18 months.

Looks like a good enough site to trust but if it were me I would never trust buying stuff over the internet....I know im old school but I like picking it up at the stores....
