Constant buzzing and scrolling lines

Got PS3 yesterday, connected to sdtv, and have got constant buzzing and scrolloing horizontal lines, have tried on two different tv's and no different, have searched on internet and only answer i can find is to remove earth pin off plug as is a earthing problem but this seems mainly to be in USA , anyone else had same problem in uk and how did you resolve

Can't help on your problem, might be an idea to take out all conections and blow in all of them, this has worked for me on other electrical equipment.

Not the answer your looking for but worth a try.

What cables are you using? If it's the ones that came with the PS3, I guess you can try playing around with the PS3's audio and visual settings from the System Settings.

have tried different settings and have tried the cable from PS2 with no difference...if you search on internet for PS3 buzzing you find quite an extensive thread on this subject and their recommendation is to remove the earth pin from plug but this is on an american forum and am not sure if you can do this for UK power supplies

It sounds like a grounding problem to me... Do you have other cables or devices near your PS3? How are you connecting your PS3 to your TV?
