i want to connect my ps3 using hdmi to dvi.
i havnt got the screen yet but will i have sound is what i wnat to know?

Siege, make sure that monitor is HDCP compliant or you are going to run into major headaches. As far as the sound goes, HDMI carries both video and audio, but DVI does not, so you can either output the audio through the optical S/PDIF out from the back of the PS3, or output it to an external stereo using the RCA (Red and White) cables.
