its not a hard disc error

its a system not accepting a dvd problem. Litteraly the playstation 3 slot loader will not take the dvd. It goes half-way in and then starts making a noise like it cant load the dvd. PLEASE SOMEONE REPLY.

Sounds like you got some type of foreign objects stuck in your BD drive to me... or your BD drive is busted. I would call Sony and send the unit back to them, I heard they are typically quick on responding to problems with the PS3.

nice show of real ignorance. hmm lets look at the 360. I'm on my 3rd so far and this is the first post I've seen with such a problem for the ps3. I'll be back in a couple of months when I get done counting the xbox forum's posts on mechanical problems.

I bought my 360 feb 06,but when i checked out the 360 forumsafter buying it, and read all the doom and gloom about failures i felt like slashing my wrists!!
Seriously though,i have not had any issues but if i had read the forums first i would never have bought a 360.My son had the red lights of death though but this was cured by un-plugging the HD and plugging it back in again. If you want to be put off buying a 360 then read the official xbox360 forum!lol
