addon package cd, installation canceled.
So after searching for endless hours I have found out why my Fedora installation wouldn't work this time and I feel really stupid.
Apparently when your asked to insert the PS3 addon packages CD you have to wait for it to load before you press Y or it canelcs the install.
I have thus far wasted 6-7 hours of my life. Well not exactly for most of that time I was doing other stuff.
On another note (I might make a sepearte post for this)
So I was thinking when i get my HDTV I should install YDL and buy a video capture card with linux support. But then I was thinking...
If I have my cable TV hooked up to the the capture card, and for some reason I want to watch the TV at the same time, or I want to use linux and flip back and forth between TV, I should find some type of repeater / signal splitter to run inbetween my cable box and the capture card. I'm sure some of the better cards support signal reproduction as they capture but I wouldn't want the ps3 doing the processing.
