Freeze up?
has anyone had any problems with your games freezing? Have recently had games freeze up completely on me, tends to be not long after starting up, but once game has started. Been playing COD3. Any ideas much appreciated.

THATS THE GAME THAT ALWAYS FROZE WHEN I PLAYED!!! But it was also like the 1st ship of ps3's after launch. Does the sound go out when you play sometimes? It really made me want to do this... for the rest of my life!

I've only ever lost sound on Tiger Woods and even then only a couple of times, haven't had any sound issues with COD

i havnt got a ps3 yetr,but i had this problem with 2 of my 360's,i hope this doesnt happen to the ps3 or ill be jumping on the bloody thing

I have PS3 NTSC/J and I have the same problem with freeze screen (F.E.A.R., NFS CARBON).

If I have frozen screen, should I send the consule to repair or its just firmware problems/bugs?

just a one off........when you start to get the freezing problem more often then you should consider phoning sony.

I did update from PLAYSTATION US and I have NTSC/J, can it cause to frozen screen ?

i've only had oblivion freeze up on me 1 time. so i guess i have a good playstation 3 and good games.

ive only had oblivion freeze a couple of times, i think thats oblivion though!

Oblivion crashes like a bitch. I've had that freeze up on me 3 or 4 times now.

My system crashes after 2 1/2 hours of gameplay on ne game i stick in then it won't play ne let alone read any disc put into it until i let it cool down and turn it on its side vertical, has that happened to anyone, i'm seriously getting mad and i just got 2 games to add to my ps3 inventory and wanna play but i'm annoyed with w/e is wrong with this, however i don't wanna send it in and wait a month and a half just so they can confirm that, "UHH ya we think something is wrong too!"

Whoa, that's bad man. The only thing that annoys the hell out of me is when the Burnout paradise demo freezes. Then you have to watch the stupid long frigging introduction again AHAHAHAHA. |

Only games that have ever froze on me were Assassin's Creed and NFS ProStreet.

For some reason CoD4, Battlefield:Bad Company and Assasins Creed keep freezing when I try to play. Is it because of the game itself or some other reason? The don't look scratched, and worked perfectly the first few months but for some reason, they stopped functioning. CoD4 freezes on single player and doesn't load the match types in multiplayer. Can someone please help?
