Somebody please help me my PS3 problem
I have a JAP ps3 console and i have 2 JAP (PLAYSTATION 2) games. Winning Eleven 9 and Soccer Life 2. I had update 1.5 installed, and they didnt work....so i downloaded the latest update which was 1.7. And still they do not work even with firware update v1.7.

I am desperate to play them, can anyone help me...is there something i have done wrong? Should i have downloaded firmware v.16 before using 1.7?

I don't think downloading 1.6 before 1.7 would change anything. I just got my PS3, but from what i know, I don't think US games work on Japanese PS3. But don't trust me on this :P

There is 2 kind of NTSC/J.one is JAPAN and the second HK .Check your PS3.IF its 220v ,you have an HK version.

Read what he said. He has a Japanese PS3 and 2 Japanese PS2 games that he can't get to work. Both should be NTSC/J as opposed to NTSC/A for America so they should work.

You might be updating with the US version of the software. Try updating with the japanesse version and it should work

or the games u have aren't supported by the backwards compatibility whatever. u can check it at the ps3 website, just go browse.
