mouse and keyboard

hi, I have an BENQ wireless mouse and keyboard which I have tried to hook up to my PS3 via usb with the doggle but for some reason I get no response when trying to use it with the wifi internet. Can someone help? Dont all wireless keyboards and mice work with it? Thanks.
