PS3 firmware flash NTSC to PAL!
Hey, does anyone know if the ps3 console can be flashed.
I mean could a NTSC ps3 be flashed to work as a PAL ps3?...

I've got a JPN ps3, its comes up black and white, on my PAL tv set! I read somewhere here it might be possible to get a hold of such software.

jap ps3
Hi i got a jap ps3 and it plays in colour on my tv through the scart but if you play through the aerial its b/w my prob is i cant play PAL dvd's which is annoying

I think most recent television sets are PAL/NTSC compatible. Unless your tv is a little bit on the older side, it should have no problem with NTSC signals.

I've heard there's some convector out there but it's not cheap I am afraid,

Only SDTVs will do that because it's trying to run in 60Hz and at a different resolution and your TV can't take it. HDTV is universally standard though so get one of them and you'll be ok.
