PS3 freeze
I've had my ps3 for about three months now. It has actually froze up during gameplay on me about three or four times. The only way to undo it was to physically turn it off.

Has this happened to anybody else?

Should I exchange it? I hate to do that now that i've downloaded all this stuff.

What do all of ya think about this little prob?

my wii actually froze about 2 weeks after i got it. i think its just one of those things.. let it go and see if the problem continues before taking action.

I did pay for the replacment plan this time so I can take it back later than sooner, so i'm not in any hurry to exchange it.

Wish I did that with the ps2 cause I had terrible problems with the DVD drive even when I got the slim I had the same prob. Except on the slim it didnt have the lense adjustment wheel like the bigger one did. Then it wouldn't play God of War I have yet to play any of those games. Think i'll wait for number 3, but maybe not.

I was playing The Show today and it froze 4 times on me in 1 game. The first time it happened I went outside to have a smoke and after a min or 2 it unfroze. I have my unit hardwired to my router and playstion online went down for maintaince or upgrades or something.I was not playing online at the time. Then I played it later in the day and it was fine. If it freezes you may want to try to let it go for a couple mins to see if it unsticks.

mine has froze bout 15 times since launch day and the intercooler dsnt help. it always freezes on cod 3 and mstorm.

How does it make you feel when it freezes?

smithy and mitsos seem pretty lucky so far........guess u guys dont use it enough

has anybody takin any kind of action?

I dont use it enough??? I play over 10-16 hours per day(not now i have to give some exams and i study veeeeery haaaaaard!!!!)

Mine has never frozen - well I say that, it has but that has been in the Home Trial as there are bugs everywhere as you'd expect.
Try the latest system update 1.80 and see if that does anything - if not take it back as it should be a sturdy bit of kit.
