Has anyone had to have a PS3 swap
Just got off the phone with Sony, my PS3 is going to have to go back for repair and I'm getting a swap over.

Love my PS3 but I'm a bit hacked off that it's busted already, its just under 3 months old and I'm not the bigest of users probably running it for 10 to 15 hours a week.

Anyone else had to have a swap over due to PS3 faults?

no i've never had to swap.



buuutttt..can i ask......where was your PS3? was it tightly between two other objects? like ermm...a sky box and sumit else? =/

YES i had to exchange my ps3 2 weeks after i got it and then my 2nd ps3 had problems and crapped about a month laster, so i said thats it for ps3 for a while


its ben about 3 months since i returned my ps3,

My PS3 was throwing up the message 'system files corrupted and need to restore' but then would fail to restore so was stuck in a big loop.

Sure it not a ventilation issue as i took the glass doors out the front of my cabinet to help air circulate and it has a good 20cm gap on sides and back.
added to the fack that the UK seems to be having NO summer this year! it bloody freezing in my house!

one of my friends had a coruption message aswel, basicly when his ps3 was updating the power was turned off accidently, his mother unpluged the ps3's socket.

Well just got a text from the girl friend that my replacement PS3 has arrived at home. At work so havn't been able to checked it out yet but have to say I'm impressed with the returnes proccess they have in place! very quick turn around (48hours for me) and friendy call staff, only problem i had was finding the number in the first place

i dont realy get it, in case the PS3 brake, isnt easier to bring it back to the shop where u got it and tell theml to replace it for u? , in my opinion thats the way to be done, then shop can contact sony and sort their sh!t out.
