Firmware 1.9
Firmware 1.9 to be released tomorrow here are the features:

• Ability to rearrange games on the XMB
• Option menu now includes "eject disk"
• Press triangle to eject games/CDs/movies in the XMB
• XMB backgrounds
• Change the folder classification
• Emoticons
• Change CD output to 44.1/88.2/176.4kHz
• Force 24Hz output for Blu-ray over HDMI
• Change PS3 video settings in-game
• "Bit Mapping" in the "Music Setting"
• Save AVCHD type animations from a Memory Stick
• Change settings like upscaling while playing PS and PS2 games
• Add bookmarks
• Web browser security function in the browser's tool section
• Avatar moves during audio visual chat

Finally Custom wallpaper & hopefully in game XMB in 2.00

lol eject disk with a button.. so damn lazy!
just put a freakin 30 layer cd changer in the ps3! or seperate attachment on the side! dont even need to move from your couch anymore! now thats what i need

can anyone explain to me what xmb is? never really knew...
also does this mean we can play music from our ps3 while playin games?

xmb is the cross member bar........the thing you scroll through after you turn it on......now smack yourself on the forehead.....lol......it ok, you gotta learn somewhere....
