First of all, I really do apologize for asking this question. I did a search already, and it appears *comparison* threads aren't tolerated much here, as this is a ps3 forum. However, I basically just have one question that would really make my decision easier if it can be answered... Thank you in advance.

Basically, there are a lot of games I want to get in the near future, that appear to be coming out on both 360 and ps3. To name a few of them, I really am looking forward to:

- Assassin's Creed
- Stranglehold
- Soul Calibur IV
- Burnout Paradise

Now, I know that Blu-ray Discs can hold more than the the DVD discs that the 360 uses, so will these games look/play better on the PS3? Will there be any differences at all, or will the games on both systems be essentially exactly the same? Extra content like behind the scenes footage, or making of stuff, is cool, but I am primarily looking for the best gaming experience.

Oh btw, I DO have a 1080p TV and a 5.1 audio setup, so I will be able to take advantage of the Hi-Def capabilities...

these games will probably look the same only because the developers are to lazy to maximise the power of both consoles. the ps3 would win hands down then. the ps3 would be better for ur tv coz it has a built in HDMI unlike the 360 and a built in blu ray player enabling you to get the best out of the films. it also upscales all normal dvd movies and ps1/ps2 games to 1080p, something the 360 cannot do. in order to watch hd movies on the 360 you will have to purchase a hd drive seperate from the system which would cost £130 bringing the total of the 360 to more than that of the ps3. but in the end the decision is yours.
oh and just to let u know there other great games to look forward to like unreal tournament, haze and MGS4 all exclusive to the ps3. if you want to check out these great games then go to gametrailers. they show you every thing. any more questions then just reply

wait till the 80 gig comes out cuz ive noticed my 60 gig freezes up during oblivion anyways and maybe the 80 gig might not have these little knicks in the system

mine has only froze once with oblivion and i have put in like 60 hr of gameplay...but i would go withthe ps3 only because you don't have to worry about the issues that the 360 is going through....now if they fix those issues then the 360 will be cool but haze and ut3 are timed releases to ps3 and mgs4 and killzone2 are only exclusives for ps3...but the ps3 has the blue ray built in so you buy the system and a set of hdmi cables and your set for everything...unlike the box where you have to buy a bunch of things for it

ps3 is better overall and much more future proof. the ps3 will eventually come out on top of the console war (incl wii) and the 360 will not last past the next 3 years. anyone think i'm wrong coz i bloody don't

in 3 years we wont even have 360 m soft will have made another next gen cnsole

PS3 all the way baby. 360 is losing it bad. Just look at all the hardware failure rates jumping skyward and the amount of people jumping over to Sony.

i play madden for at least 10 plus hours and it doesnt freeze, then i put in icon playing for about 3 hours it freezes on the create a character menu lol, its the game ur playing

i don't know why u lot are having these problems not once has my ps3 froze since i bought it at launch and i play it alot

Hey all. Thanks so much for the feedback. It has made my decision process a bit easier. If I do buy the PS3 though, I'll probably go with the 60 Gig one because it's $100 cheaper right now, and I want those free Blu-ray movies. =) Thanks again!
