that just means that your psp and ps3 are not communicating information fast enough (because the signal is too weak and the ps3 is set on too high of a output.)

When you are in the same room as the ps3, remote play with it, press the home button on the psp, and then choose connection settings on the psp. Adjust it so it is on a low setting. (512kbps or lower).

This will make the psp expect less data from the ps3, and in turn the ps3 will not try to send as much data at once. That way, the signal will carry a little farther because it does ot have to communicate so much information at one time.

As wit any wireeless device, the further away you get, the slower the connection.

That simply means that you are too far away and the signal is not strong enough. There is no remedy for this, as you cannot boost your signal any more than it is.

The only other thing you can do is get a wireless router, install it on the opposite side of your house, plug it into the network, and then use that to go on over the internet.

If you have your PS3 connected through a Router try configuring the router so that your PS3 is placed as a DMZ device. This means that all the TCP/UDP ports on your PS3 will be "visible" from outside your house network. That should do the trick.

I don't know the specifics of your router, but newer routers include a web access to configure them. You should then see a "Firewall" option. Inside it you should be able to specify either your PS3 MAC address or its IP address to be placed in the DMZ.
