*** Ps3 Won't Load Discs ***

Hey guys, here's the problem. I was playing my PS3, and I had to rush outta home because of an emergency, I forgot to turn off my PS3. When I returned, I looked at my TV and it said "Disc Load Error", and I thought to myself, fine, I just left the game on for too long, I'll just let it rest for a night and I'll play tomorrow. So I turn on my PS3 next morning, everything's fine, all the menus load up, it connects to the internet, but when I insert a disc, nothing shows up under the game menu. (When I put in the disc, I see the small loading icon top right) The blue light next to the green power display lights up but the game just won't load up/show up under games. I even tried my PS2 games, which worked on my ps3 before this problem and it didn't load. Any suggestions?
