what router should I buy?
the title basically said what needed to be said but i was just wondering (now that i am looking to get internet access on the ps3) what brand of router i should buy or what capabilities the router should have.

unless you need wireless id opt for a wired ethernet switch they are idiot proof and have the least things to go wrong. if possible get one that is gigabit speed capable but thats not essential. if you need wireless id just say get fastest widest range you can afford atleast it should be 802.11g and have mac address filtering and wep / wpa security. dlink are a good brand for both

That's the only brand of router I'll ever use. They make good routers.I know they have a new gaming router. My fiance and I were looking at it a while back.

Yeah, Linksys does seem the best. I've got a Net Gear the now, though thinking of changing it for one of them. Not that the Net Gear one's a disaster, but I have been having issues with it.

well my grandpa has a netgear and when i take my ps3 there, sometimes it connects and sometimes it doesn't. it always connects with my linksys though
