Does any 2.5" sata hard drive work on the ps3 or does it need to be a special brand or make? Also does anyone know how to replace the hard drive on the ps3?
I've read up on this myself and I'm pretty sure there's some pre-existing threads in this forum but essentially what a-lot of people say is don't get one faster than 5400RPM because faster models get hotter and can affect performance, apparently.
Essentially just about any 2.5" SATA HDD should be recognized by the PS3 specific models or brands may have associated glitches but thats something you wont know until you buy one.
