my poor ps3
Well last night I was doing some cleaning up and I wanted to play some music off my hard drive on my ps3. So I loaded up the new music player that came in the last update(its like you are in space looking at the world). Anyway so I go about my cleaning and then I look back at my tv screen and I have all these green and blue pixelated boxes running vertically down the screen. The music was still playing and I could still ff or rw the song so I did a hard reset. As soon as the ps3 turned back on the screen became full of the damn green blue checkerboard. So I didnt have much hope for it and I went to sleep planning on calling sony in the morning. So I woke up and turned on the ps3 and it seemed fine. I played some cod4 and then it froze in the game. So I restarted and what do you know the damn green and blue spots are back all over the xmb. Anyway I got on the phone with sony and after some tests they tell me my video is failing but they will replace it under warranty with no charge to me, but I need my reciept from sears and unfortunately I sent it in to collect my free movies. Luckily I bought the system on my sears card so they are mailing me another receipt(they couldnt email it or fax it, the bastards). So that wont be here for 7-10 days and then once I get my receipt I can call sony back and they will send me a coffin to ship my system back in. So I have to wait 7-10 days for my reciept. Then 5-7 days for my coffin from sony. Then the 2-3 days it takes to get back to sony. Then the 10-14 days it takes for them to send me a new 60 gig system(which is sweet I was thinking I was gonna have to take a new 80gig, but I like the hardware on the 60 gig better). I can still get the system to turn on for a little while in the xmb with a clear picture if I let the ps3 sit for a while without constantly restarting it so hopefully i can back up all of my system data. Anyway this is shitty but nothing is perfect. The only thing I'm frustrated with is the 24-34 day wait I'm going to have to deal with. SHITTTTTYY Oh well once I save my data I'm going to keep using it as much as I can til I ship it off.
