Sony will replace out of warranty/faulty PS3's and PSP's for free!
Just been reading on another forum that Sony has now decided it will replace faulty/out of warranty PS3's and PSP's (even with a broken LCD screen).

The only thing they ask is the warranty sticker is still intact.

Not tried it myself but if anyone needs to, give it a whirl.

Very clever sony got to say doing what xbox is but of course they wont need to replace any so its win win

But of course none of Sony's products hasn't even failed on me! I kept my PSP for a year and it still looks brand new!

True mate, but it's still very reasurring that we've got this safety net just in case of any hardware failures.

I've also been told they'll swap Joypads/contollers if they fail as well.

Warranty
Iv hear a rumour that sony will not replace consols that have to much dust inside of them, giving them that reason for a hardware failure. can anyone disprove or confirm this ? same with the pads if they are to dirty inside it will be down to (User Fault). I think its just some xbox fan boy posting comments on the warranty section.

No mate this is very true! Brought a PS3 mag the other day and there was a story in there about some kid in the US who's console failed on him.

Sony refused point blank that they wouldn't replace it.

Not sure if the pic they had with the story was the same PS3, but if it was, it was in a right state! It looked as though he'd dragged it down the chimney!

Sooooooooo, keep your PS3's clean.
