Great forum, my first post.

I want connect a 500g caddy to my pc. I also at the same want to connect my caddy to my PS3. My goal is to download my media from the internet onto the caddy so that i can access it from my PS3.

Is this possible? If so what baby steps do I need?

I also have a question about PS3 video 9....

Is this a programme that needs the Internet to work?

If so why?

i Would also like to know this question, but i dont know about video 9 iv never been without the internet :P cant see why it would need to though :S could give it a go for you i guess when im back at my pit

PS3 Video 9 connects to the internet to give adverts

doesn't need to run (at work I denied the proxy request)

by caddy I guess you mean external harddrive and yes its really easy. if its usb simply plug the hard drive into one of the USB slots on the front of the PS3, now go to either MUSIC VIDEO or PHOTOS, (depending on what you want to access) go right to the top of the list and you'll see your hard drive. Press triangle on it and select 'DISPLAY ALL'

You now have access to all the folder on the drive, remember that you can only access Video under VIDEO and Music under MUSIC etc ;)
