Much Needed Help
hey guys first post and will have lots more to come. My question is two fold, 1st. I have a 40gb ps3. How do i get to transfer files using the usb ports on it? I mean i know it has to be in a fat16 or fat32 format but when i put a flash drive into the usb porty it doesnt recognize that anything is there. 2nd. I see that you can upgrade the hd. Now when the ps3 was first released and the hd was changed you couldnt play final fantasy online because it was not an offical hd from sony. Is that still the case now with other online gaming? that should about do it for now. thanks for the help.

Yeah with the USB thing. Sometimes you will have to put them in to sub directorys on the USB stick for some stupid reason. But i dont know what the folders have to be lol.
As for the HD. I never heard anything about not being able the play FF if you dont use a offical HD. Was that a Fact or just a rumour, as it seem more like a rumour to me.

you may make the drive bigger but I think the 40GB is built different on the inside. That's why it isn't backward compatible.
I think you have to put the info on the thumb In the correctly named file like whats on th MXB....I'm not too sure about it though. Maybe More will come from others on it.
If not........>> reading time for you !!

Just make sure you put your files into folders names: video, photo, music
