Connecting PS3 with HDMI

If you are going to connect a PS3 using HDMI does it matter whether it is NTSC or PAL.

looking at getting a PS3 maybe from ebay and just wanted to checks

Hdmi

Hi Guys, i have a Sony DG800 amp, and i have connected my PS3 to the input of the amp via HDMI, and via another HDMI i have gone from ouput of Amp to TV, the picture comes through but the problem im having is that the sound does not want to work, i have played around with the PS3 Sound settings...but no luck any ideas???

I'm new here...

Hi folks
I wanted to go for the BD S500...but the sales person in 'Sony Style'..in LA advising me to go for the PS3....should I change my mind? any ideas?...no
I dont play games... I am for the Bluray movies.
