UK: Samsung LE40R7 LCD TV 1080i + 720p Visual Problems
Hi
Just bought my PS3 yesterday.
I'm using a Samsung LE40R7 LCD TV in the UK, so the PS3 automatically chooses 1080i if given a chance. Works fine on Resistance Fall of Man, but having problems with Uncharted Drake's Fortune. I can see that the picture looks better on 1080i than it does on 720p, and better on 720p than it does on 576.
BUT, unless I choose 576 I get problems with a kind of wave of disturbance that runs from the top of the screen to the bottom in certain areas of Level 2, EL Dorado, and the occasional flicker. The 1st level with the pirates on the ship seemed OK. It happens fairly frequently on level 2, as if there's certain complex detailed areas, perhaps combined with moving fast, that might be causing it.
Does anybody have any ideas about what to do?
