What is the Advantage of 60 and 80 Gig PS3 ?

hi guys,

help me out.

I currently have a 40g PS3 and enjoying it very much!
i dont play on-line and do not download games from the net.

my 1st concern: is there an advantage of the 60 & 80 gig versions of the ps3 to my 40 gig ps3 ?

my 2nd concern: i have around 9 games. Is there a way to download for ex. COD4 into the Hardisk of the PS3 and just play it off from there rather than loading the Blu Ray disc of COD4 each time i play ?
If this is not possible, what is the purpose of the larger capacity or the 40 gig space ?

Thanks for the inputs.

Well the advantage is that They have bigger Hard drives. And i think they have 4 usb slots and there can play PS2 games. The 40 cant play PS2 games.

As far as i know you cant download COD 4 onto you HD. But some games do let you do that for a quicker gaming experience. I pretty sure DMC and GTA IV has this ability. And the purpose of the larger compacity space is so you can store things mate, DLC, music, movies etc.

can anyone here teach me how i can download my blue ray games into my 40g ps3 ?
which of the games i have can be downloaded:

COD4
resistance:Fall of man
Virtual Fighter
Fight Night Round 3
Virtual Tennis
Motortown
Devil May Cry 4
Burnout paradise
Blazing Angels

By dowloading the game into the PS3 HD, does this save the laser mechanism from wear and tear ?

Tks for the tips.

Games on blu-ray can't be saved onto the HD. If you want games on your HD you need to download them from the Playstation Store.

As long as your games are on blu-ray you will need to physically put the game in the machine yourself.

PS Don't worry about the laser as this will last for years.

I wouldn't worry about your laser mechanism. The laser itself is a diode laser that will last longer than you will. As for the actual mechanism, they're pretty robust these days (think about all the old-school portable CD players... then never had issues).

Dude read the stuff out there !! jkr

The 40 is the cheaper of the bunch.
60 & 80 are Totally BC. Made probably big enough to handle ALL the ps'es games.
Not a good idea for them cause it knocks out the ..buying.

No sw can be put on it to do a no disk needed to play thing.

I know you can put Final Fantasy XI online on a 60gb PS3 but not on the 40.
