What did you actually buy? Are they files on a CD? If so, I'm guessing you can't directly insert it into your PS3, so what you need to do is put it on your PC, then copy the files onto a USB Drive or any other storage device, and connect that device to your PS3. Then drag and drop the Save Files into the PS3's Save Game folder I would assume.
There might be something else involved in order to get the game to recognize the Save Files but tell me what happens when you try ^^^this method ^^^
