NEWB PS3 Burning Question

Hey everybody. I've just started to burn dvds on my new laptop, however they refuse to play in my PS3.

I am using DVD Shrink and Nero 8....and DVD-R from Maxell. When copied on my brand new dell laptop they will play in the laptop and my upconverter dvd player in the bedroom, but not my PS3.

I uninstalled Nero 8 and am looking to get the best program to use when i comes to watching dvd-r's on my PS3. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Guys!

Like I said i'm a NEWB at this, so step by step directions would be great!

I can't help you with this problem but I can offer an alternative.

You can convert the movies to a valid PS3 format, (divx, or a specific type of AVI, google Free PS3 converter). Then put the converted movie(s) on a USB Drive or external Hard-drive, and connect it to your PS3. From there, just copy and paste and voila. No DVDs needed.

Did you try your DVD's on a dvd player to see if it can read your disc? Also, try burning at a slower rate 8x or below...
